Day 1: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Mhamid (Erg Lihoudi) or Erg Chigaga
You will be collected at your hotel in Ouarzazate at 8 am and depart to the desert via the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the impressive palm groves of Draa. The kasbah of Tamnougalt and the village are worth a walking tour before you continue along the Draa valley to Zagora for a quick lunch break. afterward, you will stop at Tamgroute, the village of potters that hosts an old library known for manuscripts. Then continue deep into the desert landscape via Tagounit to M’hamid for a sunset camel ride and overnight in Tent, the same if you choose to go further to Erg Chigaga desert . Day 2: M’hamid or Erg Chigaga – Ouarzazate
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before your breakfast, then travel back to Ouarzazate via the Draa Valley and Agdez. Stops could be scheduled for today if you missed any the first day or if you decided to arrive at the dunes earlier and explore at your own pace today.
