Agdz is a natural point to pause after crossing the Anti-Atlas from Ouarzazate. The town opens onto the upper Drâa oasis landscape, with Tamnougalt nearby and routes continuing south along the valley. It is a gateway with its own agricultural and architectural setting.

What to see

Jbel Kissane views; the palm grove; nearby Tamnougalt.

What to do

Arrange an oasis walk or a kasbah visit with a local guide.

Practical information

Confirm current access, opening arrangements and local conditions before travelling. Use local guides for unfamiliar paths; respect private homes, cultivated land and requests about photography. Accommodation and dining links may refer to your Ouarzazate base or an onward stop; check the address on each listing.

Getting here

From Ouarzazate, the southern road crosses the Anti-Atlas before reaching Agdz. Continue along the Drâa towards Zagora or turn towards Nkob.
